Our loving mother, Estella "Stell", 91, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2011. at CareSource Hospice in Holladay, Utah.

She was born February 12, 1919 in Heber City, Utah, the ninth child of Robert and Louise Amelia Sonderegger Clegg.

She met her husband, John "Jack" Longman, as a pen pal when he worked in the Civilian Conservation Corp (CC camp for the government). They were married on February 13, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah; solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on August 17, 1949.

Mom was a faithful member of the LDS Church and will be remembered as a very caring person to her family, friends and those she supported in the missionary program. In earlier years, Mom loved working as a supervisor in bakeries at local supermarkets. She was an avid Jazz fan.

Survived by children: Earl (Norma), Dale (Joyce), Mike (Annette), Kristine (Ralph) Durrant; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Howard; Claudia Noffsinger, who was like a daughter to her; many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-seven years; infant son, Stephen; grandson, Mark; eleven siblings.

A remembrance service will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), where a viewing will be held from 10:00-11:15 a.m.
Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Heber City Cemetery.
